Easy Competition (7.8)

The competition in this room for the most part is quite weak at the lower limits right up to the $3/$6 games. On a typical day you will find the average viewed flop percentage can peak at 55%. Since the recent upgrade, Betfair has grown in player base and has attracted some well known high stakes players, so if you’re looking for games above the $5/$10 level you will definetly find some great competitors.

Games and Traffic (7.5)

Betfair Poker offers some great cash games, but if you’re a Stud or Razz player, you won’t find these here since the room only supports Texas Holdem, Omaha and Omaha Hi Lo. The majority of the players are found at the Texas Holdem tables but there are enough players to keep some tables hopping in Omaha Hi Lo. The stakes range from $0.05/$0.10 to larger stakes such as $1000/$2000.

Software (7.7)

The software recently went through an upgrade and offers players a room that is fully functional and fast. The graphics are extremely clean and have a nice appeal to them. What makes Betfair stand out from other rooms is the ability to multi-table up to 15 games simultaneously and with easy to use tools to accomplish this.

You can choose between a mini-view option, along with the ability to resize the tables yourself without any interruptions to your games. The “poker buddy” is another feature and is available to download. What this does is allows you further analysis the hands rather than relying on a hand history chart. Aside from these new additions the room offers simple navigation, in lobby statistics such as hands per hour, viewed flop percentage and average pot size. All in all, Betfair is a great room for beginners and provides the needed tools for the advanced player.
