Cake Poker runs things a little differently as far as frequent player points, or FPPs go. The main use for them is to earn or release your pending bonus, which is the bonus money that you will receive with your first deposit at the room. Rather than make you earn frequent player points to get special prizes and promotions, Cake Poker has what they call Gold Cards. Cake Poker Gold Cards are used in the same way that other poker rooms use points, to get free tournament buy-ins and earn special prizes.

Gold Cards are earned when ever a hand reaches a certain amount in rake at any given real money table. Cake Poker Gold Cards never expire and can be very profitable if you happen to collect all 52 of them. Cake Poker Frequent Player Points

All players will be required to earn frequent player points in order to release their deposit bonus. You will need to player at the real money ring games or tournaments to earn these. Players will be able to earn as many as 3 FPPs per hand and will earn 7 FPPs for every $1 spent in tournament fees. Each FPP that you earn is worth $0.06 toward your bonus. Your bonus money will be released in $10 increments.

Cake Poker awards players .01 FPPs for every $0.01 in rake. This means that they are accurate all the way to the penny. If your table rake was $2.25, you would receive 2.25 Cake Poker frequent player points. You will also earn 7 FPPs for every $1 you spend in tournament fees. For example, if you bought into a $50 + $5 tournament, you would earn 35 points since your tournament fee was $5.
