Easy Competition (8.1)

The competition at Chan is still fairly loose and will provide you with plenty of action filled pots with hands called down to the river. Easily you can expect to see a viewed flop percentage of 45% to 50% in low limit poker. Once you begin to increase levels your competition’s skill will also increase.

Games and Traffic (7.8)

Chan Poker offers your standard spread including; Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi Li, 7 Card Stud, and 7 Card Stud Hi Lo. The player base is mainly geared towards Texas Holdem so you may not find a lot of action at the Stud variations.

Stakes begin at $0.10/$0.20 to $50/$100 with peak hours allowing action in most limits. Chan Poker takes a set limit of 5% rake from each pot with a cap at $3. Overall, Chan does provide enough players to make the ring tables busy during peak hours.

Tournaments (8.4)

If you are a tournament player than you will enjoy the extensive line up of guaranteed, freezeouts, re-buys which are scheduled throughout the day. All of the games are well structured and provided in not just Texas Holdem but Omaha and Stud.

Software (8.3)

Chan Poker is supported by the OnGame Network which is one of the largest poker room networks to date. They have been providing players with top level poker rooms since the poker boom back in 1999.

Players will be able to use the download version as well as an instant play client with play and real money games available in both features. If you have ever played on PokerRoom or Hollywood Poker than you will be right at home with the graphics in Chan Poker as the initial setup and layout are identical.

The room has a nice interface that is completely functional and allows for easy navigation. You will be able to use lobby statistics to choose your tables, however Chan offers these in a more unconventional way than other rooms.

Instead of stats displayed in the lobby you will have to click on each individual table which will then be displayed in the right hand side of the screen. These include viewed flop percentage, average stack size and average pot size.

Multi tabling is available however you will only be able to do this in full screen mode – there is no resizing feature available at this time. Another nice feature is the in lobby chat room which allows players to interact with each other.

Support (7.3)

Currently Chan Poker only provides email for support but they do expect to carry more solutions in the future. You will be able to receive a response in a timely manner and the staff is very efficient in dealing with questions players may have.  However, their score was lowered due to only offering email support.
