Easy Competition (7.6)

The competition in this room is consistent with other rooms of this size. You will find many low limit and micro players who offer up an extremely loose and careless game while the mid stakes vary in competition. The network attracts plenty of players so we recommend that you pay attention to the table statistics. The micro and low limit games generally have a varied flop percentage of 56% or more.

Games and Traffic (7.0)

Chili Poker offers a nice selection of ring games with the most predominate of them being Texas Holdem. Beyond this you can also play Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, Seven Card Stud and 5 Card Draw. The tables are fairly active throughout the room’s peak hours which are based on the majority of the traffic which comes from Europe.

Chili Poker provides tables for beginners starting as low as $0.01/$0.02 with the highest game played at $100/$200. Each of the real money ring games takes a 5% rake with a cap set at $3 per pot. Low limit and micro games will contribute a significantly lower rake threshold than the mid stakes games.

Tournaments (7.0)

The tournament schedule is very popular since Chili Poker offers some pretty high guaranteed tournaments on a weekly basis. They also support three freerolls daily for new players which always have a great turnout. The biggest event currently offers is the WCOOP 2 (World Championship of Online Poker), scheduled for May 23, 2008 and with a prize pool maxed out at $3,500,000.

This tournament will consist of 10 smaller tournaments with a leader board. In addition to this the top 100 players from that leader board will also play for a $50,000 freeroll. Chili Poker provides qualifiers and satellites to all of their major events including those for live tournament across the globe. Tournaments are available in Texas Holdem and Omaha only with buy-ins starting as low as $1. Keep your eye out for Liz Lieu and Fabrice Soulier since they are frequent players at many of the tournaments offered at Chili Poker.

Software (7.0)

The software is provided by Playtech who has always delivered a top quality product and has even received awards over the last few years for their developments. The poker room is completely stable with zero lags. You will have access to all the vital statistics both in the lobby and at the tables with the tables providing more detailed information.

You will need to click on the stats button and a popup will appear giving you your overall win/lose ratio along with your percentages for folding on flop, turn and river. What I do like with this tool, is during a tournament you will always know where you are in relation to other players along with the overall chip average. Other features include multi-tabling up to four games at once and easy navigation. Chili Poker supports the use of Poker Tracker software in Holdem and Omaha only.
