Craps Bets

The pass line is the fundamental bet in Craps. If you want to quickly get in the game, this is the one bet you should learn. To make a pass line bet, you put your chips on the pass line on a come out roll. If you're not sure if the next roll is a come out, check the laminated marker on the table. If it is black and says "Off", then the next roll is a come out roll. If it is white and says "On", then don't make this bet because the roll is not a come out.

How the pass line works is that if you make the bet on a come out roll, you win even money if the come out roll is a 7 or an 11. However, if the come out roll is a 2, 3, or 12, then you lose your money. If any other number is rolled (4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10) then that number becomes the Point.

Once the Point is established, the shooter rolls again and again until he either gets the point or gets a 7. If they get a 7 you lose your money, but if they get the point then you win even money.
