Fair Poker Review and Overview (7.6)

Started in 2004, Fair Poker was once a part of the iPoker Network.  Now that powerhouse Microgaming has taken over, it has undergone a nice facelift and is bringing in a solid amount of traffic. The site currently does not accept U.S. players, but that doesn’t stop player traffic from spiking at over 20,000 people during its peak hours.

Fair Poker offers one of the most flexible tournament schedules on the net, has some very loose cash games, and gives new players a very generous deposit bonus.

Fair Poker Bonus and Rewards (6.7)

Currently, first time depositors are eligible for a 50% match bonus up to $500 when they sign up through the links on CoinflipPoker.com.  To unlock the bonus, you must play at any real money cash game or tournament and earn Fair Poker coins.

You can earn up to 8 coins per raked hand of cash game play. You are awarded 20 coins for every $1 paid in tournament fees.  For every 500 coins, you will clear $10 in bonus cash into your account.

Similar to the loyalty program at PokerStars, players are eligible to earn coins at a much faster rate just by playing more and moving up through their different “VIP” levels.  For more information on the bonus package, read our Fair Poker Bonus Code page.

NOTE: Bonus package available only to players signing up through links on CoinflipPoker.com.

Games and Traffic (7.2)

Game variety at the site is very standard.  Fair Poker currently offers Texas Holdem, Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo, and 7-Card Stud Hi.  All the games (with the exception of Stud) can be played in a No Limit, Pot Limit, or Fixed Limit form.

Stakes start as low as $.02/$.04 and run as high $50/$100 (especially in FL and PL), with flop percentages sometimes exceeding 45 to 50 percent.

Rake percentage is relatively lower than most other rooms, with a 5% max up to $3 taken at full tables, and a max rake of only $1 to $2 at tables with anywhere from 2 to 5 players.  The action is also very loose at smaller stakes tables, so cashing in at this site is very achievable.

Tournaments (7.4)

One of the best features of Fair Poker is their tournament schedule and Jackpot Sit and Go lineups.  Tournaments are normally running within minutes of each other, and guaranteed prize pool MTT’s are a daily routine at the site.

Their signature tournament is their $215 buy-in , $100,000 Guarantee that occurs once a month.  They also offer weekly $10k, $15k, and $25k GP internet poker tourneys.  In addition, their Jackpot Sit and Go series also gives players the chance to win anywhere from $2k to $50k just for winning a set amount of sit and go’s in a row (normally 4 to 6)!

Software (8.0)

The software at Fair Poker is very much above the normal standards of online poker skins.  It has a very clean user interface, and the graphics are amazing.  Being on the Microgaming network, you’d expect only the best.

The Playtech software allows for tiled multi-tabling, which allows the player to play up to 4 tables at once in a “mini-view” form.  You can access vital stats, hand histories, and player notes at the click of a button, and there’s hardly any lag whatsoever on the site.  The lobby is also very simple to use and tabbed buttons make it easy to find what ever game you’re looking for.

Support (7.0)

As of right now, the support options at Fair Poker involve email and phone only.  However, the customer support representatives are normally very good about answering any player inquiries within a reasonable amount of time.

Deposit Methods (9.0)

Deposit options at Fair Poker include:  Visa/MasterCard, Visa Electron, Delta, Maestro, NETeller, Moneybookers, UseMyBank, Wire Transfer, UKash, Click2Pay, InstaDebit, Solo, PaySafeCard, INSTANT Wire Transfer, and WebMoney.
