Suspicions Rise at Full Tilt Poker
November 30, 2007
It has been reported that people are gossiping about a new online cheater who won some very big Full Tilt tournaments. A player named Chris “BluffMagCV” Vaughn recently won the Full Tilt $1 million Guaranteed tournament and then the very next week won the PokerStars Sunday Millions tournaments. That tournament he was playing under the name “slippyjacks”.
The rumors didn’t start until the second place winner of the Full Tilt tournament posted that he, Soren “Kongsgaard” Kongsgaard, had received and email stating that the “BluffMagCV” player had been disqualified and that he would be receiving the first place prize from Full Tilt.
The reason Full Tilt gave for the disqualification was that an player who had already been eliminated had taken over playing on the “BluffMagCV” account during the end of the tournament. The player was supposedly going to receive a percentage of the winnings for helping finish the tournament.
The player who allegedly took over the account is Sorel “Imper1um” Mizzi and he has also been supposedly banned from Full Tilt. Mizzi has not been seen on Full Tilt lately so it seems the rumor may be true. Mizzi is a well known and popular online player.
Full Tilt Poker has not released any statements on the matter but it is known that “BluffMagCV” was disqualified and has been banned from Full Tilt. It is also known that a high profile player finished the tournament in his place but an exact name has not been released. The “BluffMagCV” player is an employee of Bluff Magazine.
There has been no information about whether or not the PokerStars tournament win by “BluffMagCV” was tainted. The player has not been banned from the site and no statements have been made on the subject. It is most likely that the site has already looked into the matter and have not found any evidence of cheating. To learn more about Full Tilt Poker, read our Full Tilt Poker Review.
