No Limit Hold'em Tips and Strategies
There are several mistakes that people make when playing no limit Texas Hold'em, which costs them quite a bit of money. Many people make the mistake of playing to many starting hands. You should see about 20-35% of flops. Since position plays a huge roll, you don't want to raise if you are first or second to act if you are holding a mediocre, such as A10, K10, and Q10. At most you want to call, and in many cases it's a good idea to fold since you will likely get raised by someone of late position.
Another common mistake that people make is finding a table with the biggest average pot at the time. This doesn't always mean that the table is easy to make money at. There could have been one huge all-in to make the pot average sky rocket. You want to find a table where there are at least one or two weak players in which you know you have an advantage over them.

Once you find a table make sure you pay close attention to each player to see if they only play strong hands, if they are easily bluffed, if they commit much on draws, who bets on draws, etc.
If you have a strong hand, and believe that you have the best hand pre-flop, then you should bet/raise. You don't want to just smooth call and give opponents with a weaker hand a chance to catch a nice flop. Sometimes you do want to just call a bet however. For example, if you hold AA and are trying to trap an opponent.
The last bit of advice that I can give you is to remember that most players do not bluff. So, if you hold a mediocre hand and think that your opponent may be bluffing because the bet seems to big, then just fold. More chances than not, they have a monster, so just avoid the situation. However, if your opponent is very known for bluffing then that may change things.
