Purple Lounge Bonus and Rewards (7.8)

Easy Competition (7.6)

The competition in this room ranges from passive to very loose with an average viewed flop percentage peaking at 57%. If this is what you are looking for then you may want to check out the shorthanded and turbo games since you will find an abundance of loose players. The turbo Sit and Go tournaments fall in that same category. The higher limits generally range from 40%-45%.

Game and Traffic (7.3)

Purple Poker Lounge offers a decent variety of games supporting Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi Lo, Seven Card Stud, Five Card Stud and Five Card Draw. All of the games are available in various formats with shorthanded, full table, heads up and turbo tables available. The room is not huge in player base but is able to attract over 2,100 players during peak hours making most stakes active throughout the day.

Since they no longer accept US players, Purple Poker Lounge’s schedule is based around European time zones, which means that the peak hours revolve around those times. The stakes start as low as $0.01/$0.02 and reach as high as $150/$300. Purple Poker Lounge takes a 5% rake fixed at $3 per pot.

Tournaments (7.1)

The tournament schedule features plenty of freerolls, guaranteed tournaments along with re-buys and freezeouts. They generally start at buyins from $1 and can go as high as $200-$300 depending on the game. Most of the tournaments in this room are very fast and full of action especially the speed games. They do run some big guaranteed events both weekly and monthly with the largest game guaranteed to hold a $250,000 prize pool with qualifiers available for players to win their seats or by buying in directly.

The Sit and Go tournaments fill quickly so you will need to be fast when joining, especially the lower limit games where it seems that most of the traffic is found. Players can also win their tournament seats by playing in the cash games. If you play at least 1500 hands during the week, Purple Poker Lounge will provide you with entry into the Saturday $18,000 GP or Sunday’s $175,000 GP.

Software (7.2)

Purple Lounge uses the Microgaming software and is on the Microgaming network. The graphics are incredibly smooth and clean while the overall speed performance is quite fast. The lobby is completely full of information for players and if you find it slightly overwhelming you can use the lobby filter to remove any of the unnecessary games.

The lobby will show you the table statics of each game providing the hands played per hour (120+), average pot size, player chip stack and viewed flop percentage. You will be able to choose your own avatar for the tables and view instant replays for previous hands which are featured in animation.
