Royal Vegas Poker Review and Overview (7.0)
Royal Vegas is a relatively new room using the Microgaming Network and offers a wide range in tournaments including Rounders and features plenty of freerolls for new players. The host a weekly $175,000 guaranteed event and feature daily $5K and $10 K GP tournaments. Royal Vegas Poker is licensed by the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and is tested on a regular basis to ensure fair gaming among all games including those featured in the in-house casino. Other strong points include a bad beat jackpot, seats to live events, and a Poker Players Club Challenge leader board.
Competition (7.4)
With the attached network you will be able to play many players at any given time of the day which means you will also be able to find a wide variety of skills. The micro and low limit stakes are filled with beginners and loose players who will in many cases play the hands right through to the river. The viewed flop percentage in these games easily reaches as high as 57%.
Games and Traffic (7.2)
Royal Vegas Poker supports Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Five-Card Stud and Five-Card Draw. They have catered to all players by offering tables as low as $0.02/$0.05 right up to $200/$400 although we didn’t find many games running past the $25/$50 Limit Holdem.
You won’t have many difficulties finding enough active tables between those levels and with traffic peaking at 3,500 players, Royal Vegas does stay fairly busy even though the evening hours. Texas Holdem is by far the most popular with Omaha coming a close second. Royal Vegas takes a 5% rake capped at $3 per hand.
Tournaments (6.8)
Royal Vegas Poker features frequent promotions geared to every player including daily $500 freerolls to a weekly $175,000 GP with a $60 buy-in. Many of the tournaments are considered value tournaments in comparison to other rooms since you will be able to enter a large event for much less than you would pay elsewhere.
All of the tournaments are supported in either Texas Holdem or Omaha. You will be able to choose between No Limit Pot Limit and Fixed Limit with freezeouts, re-buys and guaranteed tournaments available. Royal Vegas Poker also hosts Rounders tournaments which are a special addition to your standard Sit and Go. These games allow you to work your way up to some nice cash games for as little as $5. Each tournament you win than gives you an entry to one level up until you reach Round 5 where top place pays out $3,000.
Software (6.7)
The Royal Vegas Poker download offers a download client as well as an instant flash with both working equally well. We do recommend you use the download version if at all possible so you will be able to access all the features within the poker room. The software is provided by Microgaming which is always exceptionally fast.
The lobby is well laid out with an easy to use interface and a drop down menu to select your own games to display rather than what is showing in the game menu. The graphics don’t feature anything extraordinaire or over the top but in the same token, they won’t lag your PC.
Statistics are available both in the menu and at the tables along with the ability to multi0-table up to eight games at once. You will be able to use this feature in full view mode, and a resize tool. Although Royal Vegas Poker doesn’t offer anything unique it does provide some of the fastest programs available.
Support (6.4)
Support is available 24/7 with email, live chat and phone support available. Response time for chat is typically 2-5 minutes while support tends to be 3-5 hours.
Deposit Methods (7.5)
Methods available include; Versign, Visa/Mastercard, Neteller, Click2Pay, Moneybookers, Instadebit, Cash Transfer, UseMyBank, PaySpark,.
