Limit Hold'em Preflop Play

A huge skill in limit Hold'em is knowing which hands to play preflop.  Your decisions preflop affect all of your post flop decisions, so they need to be the correct ones.  When you're choosing your hands preflop, you need to look at the following questions:

Are the players at your table tight or loose?  Is it a full table or a shorthanded table?  How many people have already entered the hand?  Was there a raise?  Who raised and in what position?  Where are you located at the table (position)?

If the table is tight, you should be playing more hands.  If the table is loose, you should be playing fewer hands.

At a shorthanded table you should play more hands then at a full table.

If there are many people already in the pot, you should play more suited connectors because of your pot odds.  Also, your raises with premium hands need to be greater.

If there's a raise, you should play fewer hands.

If you are in late position, you play far more hands then if you are in early position.
